Peru, Lima!

So today we arrived in Lima, Peru! And what an incredible place it is. Firstly we were hit with the shock of the way that they drive... It is definitely in a class of its own, think Thailand only more chaotic and aggressive. Just from the airport to our hotel we saw 2 accidents (nothing major just a few small scratches here and there) but people were definitely yelling - think angry Italian men (lots of loud yelling, hand movements and rude gestures!)

When we arrived to our hotel, we checked ourselves in...the beds are in a league of there own! Absolutely amazing - Hotel Maury you have our approval! 

The hotel is situated right in the centre of the city which gave us the confidence to get out and explore as we knew we were never far from home! 

Lima is a truly fascinating city, there is beauty to be found, you just have to open your heart and eyes and let it all soak in! 

For lunch we went to a beautiful seafood restaurant called: Pescados Capitales! 

We tried their famous Pisco Sours which were to die for.. So delicious! 

We also had the house cebiche - not quite what we are used to but beautiful flavours never the less! 

Up, up and away we go!

Here we go.. Off on our adventure to South America where we will be exploring Peru, Bolivia and Brazil.

We have a long journey ahead of us.. Perth to Dubai, Dubai to Rio and then finally Rio to Lima where our holiday will finally begin after our many hours of flying and over night stays in airport hotels!
